The Los Angeles Dodgers got themselves a huge scare last week when Zach Greinke left his spring training debut, after tossing just three pitches, to what they called a strained right calf. While it’s not being seen as anything too serious that might affect the start of the regular season, according to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times, the team still has no timetable for his return at the moment.
Greinke feels no different than yesterday. Mattingly: “We’re still going to be cautious with him.” No timetable for return.

Some concern was raised when Greinke was scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Saturday, which he ultimately didn’t do. But again, that shouldn’t be seen as something that should raise too bright of a red flag because as Mattingly says, they’re just being cautious with one of their more valuable commodities in the rotation.
Looking at how close the team came last season to a World Series appearance, there’s no need to push Greinke anymore than they absolutely have to.
