Virginia head coach Tony Bennett compares fans to those at Taylor Swift concert (Video)

The Virginia Cavaliers basketball program and head coach Tony Bennett made history on Saturday afternoon. With their convincing win over the Syracuse Orange, the team clinched their first regular season ACC Championship in 33 years, making it a landmark moment. Understandably, the fans in attendance at home in the John Paul Jones Arena were ecstatic.

So, what was the best way that Bennett could describe the scene? Well, he described it as something that you might see at a Taylor Swift concert, of course.

It was a wild scene in the arena, for sure, as fans flooded the court to celebrate the historical occasion.

“Last time I heard it that loud I was at the Taylor Swift concert,” Bennett joked. “I sat there, and there’s 14,000 teenage girls screaming, and I remember sitting there like, ‘I wonder if we can get it like this for a game.'”

But, that quote above from Bennett–and heard in the video–might be the most entertaining description.
