When you think of Michael Jordan (at least on the basketball court), it’s hard to think of any negatives. Off the court? That’s a bit of a different story, but on the court Jordan was a legend who could do no wrong.
Except for that time he clocked former teammate Steve Kerr.
We’ve all heard the story – but the problem is, we’ve heard it told over and over as it has translated itself through multiple sources. Thankfully we have Michelle Beadle of ESPN to help us out.
The lovely Beadle returned to her former network on Monday and with it came a new segment entitled Most Misunderstood Sports Stories where Beadle breaks down infamous stories and tells them the way they really happened.
Helping her out to tell the story of Jordan punching Kerr? None other than the great one himself.
So does that jive with what you’ve heard? Most times I’ve heard the story told, there wasn’t a phone call from Jordan nor was there any sense of the Chicago Bulls great ‘feeling horrible’ over doing what he did.
Glad to see the two worked things out though.
