Milwaukee Bucks to sign Tony Mitchell

Looking to fill out their roster after recently trading shooting guard Gary Neal and point guard Luke Ridnour to the Charlotte Bobcats, the Milwaukee Bucks have turned to the NBA’s Developmental League for their latest acquisition.

The Bucks will sign forward Tony Mitchell, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports.

And just so there is no confusion…

Mitchell played for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2009-2012. He entered the NBA Draft in 2012 following his dismissal from the team, but was not drafted. He played with the Sacramento Kings in the Las Vegas Summer League, but the Kings declined to sign him and he wound up with the Mad Ants.In 2013, he signed with the Jilin Northeast Tigers in China, but left after 11 games.

Of note, Mitchell is a two-time D-League dunk contest champion.
