Poor Carmelo Anthony.
As if the losses weren’t bad enough, know he has to deal with bickering teammates.
After Sunday’s loss to the Chicago Bulls (a loss where Carmelo himself blasted his teammates), everybody’s favorite knucklehead J.R. Smith decided to question the heart of his teammates. That didn’t sit well with Amar’e Stoudemire who suggested Smith may want to look in the mirror before making such comments.
“You have to look at yourself in the mirror before we make statements,’’ Stoudemire said when asked about the comments. “We got to make sure you’re playing hard first. You take care of yourself and then everyone else will follow suit. Until you do it yourself, then you can lead by example.’’
Smith didn’t appear to take the comments well suggesting as not long after, the jumpshot happy swingman posted the following on Twitter:
Of course, winning seems to solve a lot of these minor problems – but the Knicks don’t appear overly eager to do such.
Should be an interesting final few weeks of the season in New York.
