It’s been no secret that Pau Gasol hasn’t been getting along with the Los Angeles Lakers or head coach Mike D’Antoni lately, but he seems to have gotten over his tantrum for the moment. While he’s far from a lock to return to the team in 2014-15, Gasol is saying that shaking things up on the roster and in the game plan can be a good thing for everyone sometimes.

Per Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times:

"“As a veteran, you feel like there’s times where you need to sometimes get out of that comfort zone and stir things up a little so guys react, and you get hopefully a positive result.”"

The shakeup Gasol was probably hoping for likely involved him playing for a different team but he’s clearly trying to live with his situation as long as he has to. While it’s not been an newsy season, Gasol can look to greener pastures in the offseason when he’s free to get out of Los Angeles and move on with his career.
