The Pac-12 has seven teams with an RPI below 50, so the NCAA Tournament could have a decided west coast flavor if Selection Sunday is kind to the conference that has already crowned the Arizona Wildcats as the conference champion.
There are only two games left for teams to position themselves for the Pac-12 conference tournament which will prove as the final audition for teams on the bubble, which includes the Utah Utes and possibly the Oregon Ducks who are in a pack of teams across the country needing a big final week and conference tournament to cement their “Big Dance” status.
Behind Arizona there is a bit of a logjam as teams have been jockeying for the second spot as three-five teams have a solid argument for being tabbed as the second best team in what has arguably been the deepest conference in basketball this year.
Here is how this week’s conference power rankings shake out for the conference that hopes to take seven teams to the NCAA Tournament.
