Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack put his unbelievable, freakish talents on display Tuesday morning in his Pro Day, and there was more than likely not one scout nor coach that left there disappointed, and that includes officials from the Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders–two teams with top picks in this May’s NFL Draft–that were in attendance.
New Browns head coach Mike Pettine and Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie were both on hand to watch Mack clock in the 40-yard dash at 4.55, showing that he has the explosiveness to potentially lead a defense at the next level.
While you could call it a formality, yes, the fact remains that there is a chance that both the Browns and Raiders may miss out on the players they have in mind right now, which could leave Mack sitting right on their doorsteps come Draft day.
NFL analyst Mike Mayock has already stated during his impressive showing at the most recent NFL Scouting Combine that he believes Mack should be the number one overall player taken.
While we all know that won’t be the case, him being the number one overall pick, if you were the Browns or the Raiders, would you pass up the chance to put this young man on your defense?
