Jimmy Fallon and Idina Menzel Sing ‘Let It Go’ with Classroom Instruments on The Tonight Show (Video)

Ever since Jimmy Fallon took over the hosting duties at The Tonight Show, we have watched as Jimmy has put on some pretty epic musical skits. Whether it has been him and Will Smith dancing their way through the evolution of hip hop, Fallon and Justin Timberlake making their way through the history of rap, or even his epic lip sync battle with Paul Rudd, Fallon and company never disappoint. Although, I do have to say, I don’t think I have seen anything quite as original as what went down on last night’s episode.

After her incredible performance at the 86th Annual Academy Awards, Tony Award winning actress Idina Menzel stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. What happened next was pretty amazing.

Idina sang her song “Let It Go” from the Walt Disney Pictures smash hit animated feature film Frozen; however, this was a very different version of the song. Fallon and the members of The Roots were playing classroom instruments as her back up. Yes, ladies and gentlemen…classroom instruments.

So pull out the rainbow xylophone, recorder, bongo drums, and triangles and check out this pretty awesome performance.

I think it is worth mentioning that last weekend, Frozen broke the $1 billion mark worldwide at the Box Office. So, I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more of this in the future.
