It must be time machine day with the destination being the mid-1990’s.

In addition to a new advertisement featuring Allen Iverson, Shaquille O’Neal and Shawn Kemp, the Denver Nuggets are doing their part to add into the festivities by debuting their ‘alternate’ uniform which will be worn on March 17th.

There was speculation as to what uniforms would be used – some believing the team would unveil new sleeved threads while others felt the team would go for their more traditional (and oddly loved) rainbow colored uniforms.

But neither of those fit the bill as the Nuggets, via their Twitter, announced the plan to wear the throwback uniforms from the 1993-1994 season. Multiple players including Ty Lawson, Kenneth Faried, Wilson Chandler and Randy Foye modeled the uniform.

Denver will host the Los Angeles Clippers on a nationally broadcast ESPN telecast, so there’s no better time to rock the throwback uniforms than in front of millions.

Hopefully the Nuggets – who have been in a nasty free fall – will put on a good showing.
