With the trade deadline a little more than 24 hours away, the action is starting to pick up throughout the league as the Minnesota Wild have acquired goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov from the Edmonton Oilers. Going back to Edmonton in the deal is a 2014 4th round draft pick.
The Wild have been in the goalie market for quite some time due to health issues plaguing Josh Harding. It was rumored that the team was talking to both the Devils and Sabres about a goaltender, but, ultimately, they settled on what they deemed to be a fair value trade.
In 20 games with the Oilers this season, Bryzgalov has a 3.01 goals against average and a .908 save percentage.
