It was only a matter of time until the move was announced, and that came on Wednesday morning as the Cleveland Browns announced that they have decided to grant wide receiver Davone Bess and officially grant him his release.
Bess had an odd series of events during the offseason that involved posting photos of apparent marijuana use on Instagram and eventually being arrested in a Fort Lauderdale airport.
As we learned more about Bess over the course of the past few months, it became clear that he needs to focus more on his mental health than NFL career. Let’s hope he can do that now that he will not be on a roster.
Cleveland also announced the release of wide receiver Brian Tyms, and linebacker Paul Hazel.
