Dallas Stars trade for goalie Tim Thomas

The Dallas Stars have made a trade deadline day deal for goalie Tim Thomas of the Florida Panthers. The trade was reported on Twitter by Bob McKenzie of TSN.

 

 

Of course the Panthers shipped Tim Thomas off after trading for Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo. It prevents the two from squaring off for the starting job, though Thomas will be forced to square off with Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen.

They could use Thomas to give Lehtonen more of a break, he is second in the league in games played by a goalie coming as of deadline Thursday. There still aren’t details on what the Stars sent to Florida for Thomas, stay tuned to FanSided for details as they emerge.

Of course the biggest question is….
