The NBA’s best player, Miami Heat forward LeBron James is having another fantastic season and could be on his way to his third straight and fifth overall MVP Award (although Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant will have something to say about that).
On Wednesday, James added to his many accolades when the league named him the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Month.
Despite not winning the league’s weekly award a single time during the month, Miami Heat forward LeBron James on Wednesday was named NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for February.
James, who has not been recognized as Player of the Week since the first week of December, previously won the Eastern Conference monthly award in December. Indiana Pacers forward Paul George took the November designation and New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony took the January honor, making James the lone repeat recipient in the East this season.
James is averaging 27.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game while leading the Heat to a record of 43-15.
