Dallas Mavericks swingman and former NBA All-Star Vince Carter knows he’s in the twilight of his career. But he wants it known that he’s not ready to hang up the sneakers just yet as he believes he can play another two seasons of NBA basketball.
But three? At age 40? That might be stretching it.
#Mavs F Vince Carter, 37, believes he can play at least 2 more seasons. But he’s not sure that he can play at age 40.
Carter is in the middle of his 16th season (and 17th on his knees if you add up his 60+ playoff games) and while he’s a shell of the player we once knew, he’s still getting the job done.
Half-man, half amazing or Vinsanity as he was once referred to is in the final year of his contract with the Mavericks and it’s not known if they’ll be interested in bringing back Carter at 38-years-old, though he shouldn’t struggle to find a home in free agency as long as he doesn’t overprice himself.
