According to a report from the Baltimore Sun, recently released Baltimore Ravens linebacker Jameel McClain is set to meet with another AFC team in the form of the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday.

Last week, the Ravens made the decision to release McClain, along with fullback Vonta Leach. Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome said that he left the door open for the two to return, although McClain is wasting no time whatsoever on seeing if he doesn’t have to ultimately take Newsome up on that opportunity.

Last season, McClain started 10 games in which he recorded 52 tackles and one forced fumble. At only 28-years-old, McClain would be a great addition to the Bills roster on the defensive side of the ball, especially of they eventually have to deal with the loss of defensive back Jairus Byrd very shortly, one of the more coveted commodities on the free agent market in 2014.

In 2012, McClain suffered a spinal contusion, which made his return and performance during the 2013 season all that more impressive.

Now the only question is where he will further improve his career in 2014. Will that ultimately be in Buffalo?
