Saturday Night Live: Lena Dunham, Kate McKinnon dance for feminism in promos (Video)

This week marks another new episode of Saturday Night Live and yet another first time host in Girls star Lena Dunham. the native New Yorker has become a massive star thanks to her hit HBO show but she’s never hosted the show before and will be doing so for the first time this weekend.

Saturday Night Live has released the first batch of promos for the episode this week and they feature Dunham alongside cast member Kate McKinnon where the two do everything from talk about killing Girls characters to facing for feminism.

We have seen first time hosts hit and miss this year with great outings by the likes of Edward Norton and Kerry Washington where comedic stars like Jim Parsons struggle to latch on and carry the show for the length of the night. Parsons’ night seemed to be bogged down in bad writing, but this week should b a rebound in more than one way.

We’re almost bound to see Noel Wells reprise her impression of Dunham in character as Hannah from Girls, and there’s hope that this week will make up for the bummer of an episode last week.
