University of Georgia running back Todd Gurley is used to running over opponents and bulling his way through defensive lines, leading his Bulldogs to victory. It appears he doesn’t think his Dawgs are going far on the hardwood this March, however.
Seth Emerson, who covers Georgia for the Macon Telegraph, was tweeting some updates on the Georgia football team when he sent out this little gem.
One final note: Todd Gurley predicts Duke and Syracuse will meet for the NCAA championship. (He’s a Duke fan.)

Duke, I’d buy. Heck, I’d buy Duke making it to the championship game practically every year. But not only is Gurley overlooking the fact that his bubble-sitting Bulldogs are playing some pretty good ball right now…but Syracuse? The team that just lost four of five games? (Including one to Georgia-rival Georgia Tech). Not so fast, my fast friend.
While it’s true that Georgia even getting into the NCAA Tournament is a longshot, Gurley could have at least included them in the conversation. Maybe if he had been questioned about the NIT he would have been more Bulldog-friendly.
The least Gurley could have done was to include an SEC team in his prediction. Isn’t that what those SEC folks do? Pull for each other? Or is that just during football season?
