Cristiano Ronaldo says he breaks records 'naturally'

There was a slew of international friendlies on Wednesday, and most were boring and unentertaining, looking at you Mexico. There was one milestone achieved when Portugal and Real Madrid super star Cristiano Ronaldo scored a pair of goals en route to a 5-1 win over Cameroon.

Those two goals moved Ronaldo ahead of former Paris Saint-Germain forward Pauleta, who scored 47 times in 88 appearances, to become Portgual’s all time leading scorer. Ronaldo says he doesn’t seek to break records, it just happens naturally.

“I do not look to beat records,” Ronaldo said, via ESPN FC. “This happens naturally, with a lot of effort, dedication, with the excellent national team we have, a good coach. I knew that sooner or later it was going to happen.”

Of course it took Ronaldo 110 caps to take the record away from Pauleta who did it in just over 20 less games. Still, there is no denying Ronaldo’s incredible goal scoring ability.
