Former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has made a decision and elected to sign an endorsement deal with Nike.

From Darren Rovell of ESPN:

"Johnny Football is now property of Nike. The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner, and possible first overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, informed the world’s largest shoe and apparel brand that it had won the sweepstakes to outfit his feet and use him in marketing campaigns. Nike spokesman KeJuan Wilkins confirmed Thursday night that Johnny Manziel had joined the company’s endorsement roster."

Manziel is wildly popular and Nike adds an incredibly popular football star. Rovell said the financial terms were not disclosed, but said his sources say the deal is for multiple years.

Manziel had teamed up with Nike frontman LeBron James’ business manager Maverick Carter so it isn’t necessarily to surprising. Adidas, Under Armour and New Balance’s Warrior brand were all competing for his marketing rights.

Expect to see Nike trademark “Johnny Football.”
