The Golf Channel has thrown their hat in the reality television ring with their “Big Break” series. One particular star on the “Big Break Florida” edition is standing out, Ft. Worth, Texas native Lauren Sullivan. She was a high school golfer but stopped playing and pursuing her career when starting college. She eventually started playing again, turning pro in May 2012 and is competing on Big Break looking to move her career along.
Rufus King, a runner-up in the 1949 U.S. Amateur Championship and in the field at both the 1950 Masters and U.S. Open, was Lauren’s next door neighbor. He introduced golf to Lauren and her brothers and taught them the game.
“I would come home from soccer practice and see him chipping in the yard every day,” recalled Lauren. “When my brothers and I joined him, he saw that we had natural abilities for the game and he taught us how to play. He was my swing coach all the way through high school. He loved giving back to something that meant so much to him.”
Aside from being an incredibly talented golfer, she is also stunningly gorgeous.
