So you want a Spring Training talking point all wrapped up into one play? Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Dodgers have you covered.
There is Trout’s speed, talent, athleticism, and all around wonderfulness that was on display. There is the fact that he actually went for an inside the park home run in Spring Training. There is the fact that Yasiel Puig and his “reckless” play in the outfield created the opportunity in the first place. Then there is not one, but two ridiculously nice throws from Puig and Hanley Ramirez to get the ball home.
There is the play at the plate. And then perhaps most importantly, there is the fact that the call was challenged and review by the umpire crew (video below from MLB.com):
