It was seen as a form of professional blasphemy this week when Indiana Pacers star Paul George said that he would like Miami Heat star–and consensus best player in the NBA–LeBron James to mentor him during the offseason summer months as his basketball game continues to grow and improve. With the Heat and Pacers being bitter rivals with one another, and arguably the two best teams in the Eastern Conference, this was obviously frowned upon.
However, it doesn’t bother George as he looks to put his name up there in the conversation with LeBron and apparently, James doesn’t mind either as he said that he’ll “absolutely” lend a hand to his off-the-court friend.
Is LeBron open to Paul George picking his brain over summer? “Absolutely.”

While outlets like ESPN have used this in the last 24 hours to fill their debate shows, NBA stars in the past have worked with each other off the court in the offseason.
What matters in the end is who brings it when the golden trophy is on the line in June. You can’t teach desire.
