Safety Kameron Miles dismissed by Texas A&M

According to an announcement made by the school Thursday, redshirt freshman safety Kameron Miles has been dismissed from the Texas A&M football team.

No official reason for Miles’ dismissal was provided.

Miles took to Twitter on Wednesday night to apologize for his actions. He has since deleted his Twitter account, but you can read his apology below:

“My actions does not reflect my character, I made a mistake and I accept full responsibility and the consequences of my actions, Aggie always. I want to issue an apology to Coach Sumlin and the coaching staff, teammates, my family, WHMS for my misjudgment and the mistake I made.”

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Miles was considered by some to be the top safety in Texas when he came out of high school in 2013.
