Continuing through the first week of the new month on Streak for the Cash, we get another full board of picks this Thursday even though the daytime options are definitely limited. We do have some PGA Tour action to get things rolling with some props from the WGC Cadillac Championship joining a Euroleague over/under from Spain. Late last night, there were also some tennis options put on the board giving us options throughout the afternoon. Tonight, the NHL and college basketball do most of the heavy-lifting but there are some nice marquee NBA matchups as well. Here’s my quick takes on today’s options with my confidence in each on a scale of 1-10.

3/6 Streak Picks

11:00- Any Other Score: This prop is for Kevin Streelman’s score on the Par 5 1st. With a completely redone course at Doral, it’s hard to say how this whole will play, but with par as the most likely score and bogey and eagle also on the table for AOS, it’s a solid pick. One hole props can always go either way though. Confidence-4

11:44- Rory McIlroy: This first round prop pits Rory against Phil for the full round which will probably tie up your entry through the 2:45 starts taking you to 5:15 as the next available pick if you make this one (depending on pace of play).  Rory is in better recent form, so I’d lean his way in this one. Confidence-5

Oct 5, 2013; Dublin, OH, USA; Tiger Woods and Adam Scott wait to putt on the 17th green during the third round of the Presidents Cup at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Mandatory Credit: Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

12:39- 0 or 1: The threesome of Woods, Scott, and Stenson tee off on the new par-5 first and this prop is for how many birdies will be made by the group. Like the above prop, it’s hard to predict just how the hole will play and you also have to figure the unpredictability of Woods injury and Stenson and Scott not playing a lot lately. I think pars are again the most likely outcome even on this par-5. Confidence-3

2:05- Alejandro Falla: Falla is -125 to win even though and is the better player on hard court. He also wone the only other time these two met 6-1, 6-2 three years ago. Confidence-2 1/2

2:45- 154 Points or More: This prop is right on on the over/under but the two teams do average slightly over so I’d lean that way. Confidence-3

5:15- Lleyton Hewitt wins 2-0: Hewitt is favored over Ebden who he dispatched 6-4, 6-1 earlier this year i ntheir only previous meeting. Ebden has lost his last four matches and I don’t see him taking a set from his fellow-Aussie. Confidence-4

7:00- Los Angeles Kings: LA lost in Winnipeg earlier this season but upgraded their offense at the trade deadline adding Marian Gaborik.  The Jets just dropped their last game at home to the Islanders while the Kings knocked off Montreal moving to 4-0 since the Olympic break. Confidence-5

7:00- Vanderbilt Commodores: The Commodores host LSU as 1 1/2 point home underdogs. Vandy managed just 38 points in their most recent game which was an ugly road loss at Tennessee. At home though, they’re typically much better and even played #1 Florida tightly.  The Tigers beat the Commodores in their gym earlier this year, but have lost four of their last six overall and their last seven road games. Confidence-4

7:00- Penn State Nittany Lions: PSU and Northwestern is a straight-up pick’em game according to Vegas. The Nittany Lions have won just one of their last four games, but Northwestern is no better with six straight losses. Confidence-4 1/2

7:00- Villanova Wildcats: Despite their high ranking, the Wildcats are only three point favorites as they travel to Xavier.  The X-men could use a big win on their tournament resume, but Villanova destroyend them 73-56 earlier this season, and I think they’ll cruise to the win again in this one. Confidence-6

Mar 1, 2014; Hartford, CT, USA; Cincinnati Bearcats guard Sean Kilpatrick (23) warms up before the start of the game against the Connecticut Huskies at XL Center. Mandatory Credit: David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

7:00- Cincinnati Bearcats: In the first of the two ranked team matchups, Memphis travels to Cincinnati in a pivotal American Athletic Conference matchup.  Cincinnati has dropped two in a row but are still four-point favorites because they’re at home. It’s definitely not a lock, but I’d lean toward the home team even though Memphis is playing well. Confidence-3 1/2

7:00- Marshall Thundering Herd: Don’t let record fool you, Marshall is favored by 2 1/2 in this game. Both teams are coming off a home win in their most recent game, but I’d go with the home team in this if forced to pick. Neither option is all that inspiring. Confidence-3

7:30- Tampa Bay Lightening: Tampa traded Martin St. Louis on the eve of Steven Stamkos’s return. While the drama may impact the Lightning long term, the Sabres traded away any pieces they could get return for as they suffer through another tough season.  The Lightning have won both of the previous meetings and at home they’re 17-7-3. Confidence-6

8:00- St. Louis Blues: The Blues visit Nashville with their new goalie Ryan Miller who looked to get his third straight win. Nashville is decent at home, but the Blues have beaten the Preds in each of their three meetings this season. Confidence-7

8:00- Colorado Avalanche: Colorado visits Detroit fresh off beating the Blackhawks in Chicago.  The Avs are 3-1 since the break with quality wins over Phoenix, Tampa, and Chicago.  This will be Detroit’s first home game since February 3 and they’ve gone 2-1 in their three games over the last week. Confidence-5

8:10- Miami Heat: In a rematch of the Finals, the Heat visit San Anotonio to take on the Spurs.  LeBron was too tired to carry his team past Houston after his 61-point game against Charlotte, but he should be fully rested and ready to go for this one.  The Spurs are 2 1/2 point home favorites but the way the Heat demolished them earlier this season and the form LeBron has been in make them my pick in this one. Confidence-4

8:30- Dallas Stars: The Canucks are falling fast as they head to Dallas where the Stars look to complete the series sweep after beating Vancouver 2-1 and 4-1 earlier this season. Vancouver is just 1-8-1 over their last ten. Confidence- 5 1/2

9:00- Phoenix Coyotes: The Coyotes will host Montreal who are on their third road game in four nights. Phoenix is good at home and get the slight edge here. Confidence-3

9:00- DePaul Blue Demons: Going with the home team in this battle of the bottom two teams in the Big East. Combined these two teams are 5-28 in conference.  Depaul did get one of its wins just two game ago while Butler has dropped seven in a row and has just one road win in conference.  They Bulldogs won the first meeting in Indy in double OT. I expect a close game which should be entertaining since these two teams both have a chance to win which they haven’t in many games this season.  Look for the Blue Demons to get the win at home where they’re one-point underdogs. Confidence-4

9:00- Michigan State Spartans: In East Lansing, the Spartans are 3 1/2 point favorites as they look to beat Iowa for the second time this season.  The defeated the Hawkeyes in Iowa earlier this season in an overtime thriller but have lost three of four including their last two at home.  It’s unusual to see a Tom Izzo team struggle late in the season like this, and I think he’ll have them ready to turn things around tonight. Confidence-4 1/2

9:00- UCLA Bruins: The Bruins snapped a two-game skid beating Oregon State their last time out but have had their struggles on the road in conference play.  They’re just 4-4 in true road games this season, and you can bet the Huskies will be fired up to make a statement with a win.  I’m just not sure they have the horses to do that though against a talented UCLA team who come in favored by four on the road. Confidence-6

9:30- Edmonton Oilers: The Isles and Oilers meat up in Edmonton in a battle of two last place teams.  Both teams offloaded pieces heading into the break to plan for the future. Since the game is in Edmonton I’ll go with the home team, but neither team inspires any confidence. Confidence-3

10:30- Pittsburgh Penguins: The Pittsburgh Penguins head to San Jose where the Sharks are 22-4-4 at the SAP Center. One of those OT losses came in their last game, though, as they fell to the Hurricanes.  The Penguins rebounded nicely from their loss outside to Chicago by beating Nashville, so they look like they’re back in the groove and ready to roll. Confidence-4

10:45- Clippers win by Double Digits: The Clippers are getting payback for the years they’ve been relegated to second-team in their own city by demolishing the Lakers whenever they get the chance. They’re favored by 10 1/2 but beat the Lakers by 36 in their last meeting. The Clippers will also be looking to win their sixth game in a row. Confidence-6

11:00- Washington State: The Cougars are 4 1/2 point favorites at home as they host the Trojans in a matchup of the two teams with the worst records in the Pac-12. WSU was lost seven in a row and 11 of their last 12 while USC has lost ten in a row and 15 of their last 16. This will be the first meetings of the teams this season.  Confidence-4
