For those that were hopeful to see much-maligned Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Bo Pelini to be shown the door some time soon, don’t hold your breath, as the school has given their coach a new contract extension that will carry him through the year 2018, according to CBS Sports.
That much-discussed contract extension Nebraska hasn’t given Bo Pelini? He got it last week. Signed it Wednesday. Five years left.

Pelini came under fire last season more than he ever had before when, after a lackluster start, an audio tape was released of the coach berating the fans in a private room from a couple years back, a story which never really did stick that long.
Despite going 2-2 in their final four games in 2013, the team was able to get a huge win over an SEC team–albeit an injury-riddled one–when they defeated the Georgia Bulldogs in the Gator Bowl, which gave most the impression that the coach would not be going anywhere, anytime soon.
Well, he’s not.
