Jarrod Saltalamacchia mocks Ian Kinsler, hopes Boston goes 0-162 and they're all sleazeballs

Detroit Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler made news this week when comments from him about his former team, the Texas Rangers, came out in an article for ESPN The Magazine.

“Daniels is a sleazeball,” Kinsler says referring to general manager Jon Daniels. “He got in good with the owners and straight pushed Ryan out. He thought all the things he should get credit for, Ryan got credit for. It’s just ego. Once we went to the World Series, everybody’s ego got huge, except for Nolan’s.”

He also hopes the Rangers suffer.

“I’ll miss all my teammates,” Kinsler. “I’ll miss Elvis and Beltre, Mitch [Moreland], Matt Harrison and [Ron] Washington.

“To be honest with you, I hope they go 0-162. I got friends, and I love my friends, but I hope they lose their ass.”

Miami Marlins catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia jokingly mocked Kinsler’s comments when talking to reporters about his former team, the Boston Red Sox.

“I hope they go 0-162. Now they’re all sleazeballs,” Saltamacchia said, via a report on
