Chicago Bulls All-Star center Joakim Noah reportedly was recruiting New York Knicks small forward Carmelo Anthony while the two were in New Orleans for the break, but according to The Chicago Tribune that is nothing but ‘gossip.’
“I feel a lot of gossip,” Noah said, according to the Tribune. “I think we all know that we’re in a good place. Our team is in a good place. We’ve got a healthy group, it’s a healthy environment, and we’re not going to let gossip get in the way of what we’re doing. We’ve gone through so much this year, so it’s not going to be a little gossip that gets out there.’’
Now Noah, who has been a triple-double machine of late for the Bulls does not say if the ‘gossip’ is true or not, but is getting in front of the story to prevent any type of potential distraction for the Bulls as they are competing for homecourt advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
