A few nights after scoring 61-points against the Charlotte Bobcats, LeBron James laid a dud against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night, scoring just 19 points on 6 of 18 shooting.
So what was the issue? James suggested it was the less than popular sleeved jerseys the Heat were forced to wear, though, some might have assumed James was simply using the uniform as his scapegoat.
It’s possible, but it’s clear that James was having issue with the jersey well before reporters placed microphone’s in his face during his postgame comments as King James could be seen displaying his displeasure on the bench.
With Miami down just five points in the third quarter, a very irritated LeBron was spotted by TNT cameras giving his teammate Chris Bosh the lowdown on the threads which he said obstructs his shooting motion.
It’s certainly a little odd to think the uniform really messed up James that bad as people play basketball in sleeved shirts all the time. Granted, most aren’t as tight as James’ uniform last night but it’s probably more unfamiliarity/distraction as it is the jersey actually changing his shot mechanics.
