One of the key components to the San Francisco Giants team may end up missing the start of the season at this rate.
Second baseman Marco Scutaro, who has been battling a bad back since last spring, may have been hitting off of a tee and beginning to throw, but his debut in Spring Training is fixing to be pushed back yet again, according to The Mercury News’ Alex Pavlovic.
Scutaro debut pushed back again. Bochy said they'll need Plan B if he can't go by end of next week.

What is plan B? If the 38-year old Scutaro is not ready at the beginning of the season, the Giants do have Joaquin Arias and Tony Abreu available to fill in the gap until he gets back. Obviously, Bruce Bochy and company are hoping that Scutaro is at least close to returning to the lineup by the end of next week.
