Rangers' Matt Harrison throws live BP

He may open the season on the DL, but the encouraging news is that Matt Harrison is progressing nicely.

Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News writes that lefty Matt Harrison threw a live batting practice session, his first pitching session against actual batters in 11 months. He threw approximately 40 pitches, dividing his time between winding up and pitching from the stretch.

Harrison will throw a bullpen session on Saturday and will pitch in a “B” game against Kansas City on Tuesday.
