An arrest has been made in the shooting that occurred on December 22 in Tallahassee.

Police have arrested Tarron Addison for the attempted murder of Tim Pruitt.

The shooting stemmed from a conflict between two Florida State Seminoles’ football players, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

Redshirt freshman offensive lineman Ira Denson, who did not travel with the Seminoles to the National Championship Game and is not currently part of the team, allegedly stole the debit card of Seminoles’ running back Mario Pender (Pender also missed last season because of academic issues but is reportedly in good standing now). Pender took Denson’s shoes as “collateral” until Denson paid him back for the purchases he made on Penders’ card. Denson and Addison showed up at Pender’s apartment and Pender was with Pruitt, who is his half-brother.

"Pender said he told Pruitt to give them the shoes so they would leave. After Pruitt placed the shoes in the car’s trunk, the car backed out to leave and shots were fired.Pender said he saw Addison point a chrome revolver out of the driver’s side window and shoot three to four times in the direction of Pruitt and Pender. Pender said Pruitt started holding his head and saying he had been shot. A bullet had gone through Pruitt’s left ear and stopped behind his left eye, according to court documents."

Obviously, this is a terrible situation and finally explains why Denson, while in school, isn’t allowed to participate in activities with the team.

Pender is currently working out with the team and should take part in spring practice.
