Tiger Woods makes 91-foot birdie putt at World Golf Championships (Video)

Tiger Woods hasn’t been Tiger Woods for quite some time, but occasionally, the flashes are still there.

Today was one of those days.

Woods, who has been hampered by a bad back in recent weeks/months decided to take part in the 2014 Cadillac World Golf Championships and I’m thinking he feels he made a good decision. Or at least did earlier this afternoon.

Facing a 91-foot birdie butt on the Par-3 fourth, Woods pulled out his putter and left the shaft out.

He was hoping to get within a few feet of the cup – no small challenge from nearly 100-feet away. But Woods got closer than he or anybody else expected. He made it.

Yep, facing a daunting putt, Woods lined everything up and struck gold, making it the longest made putt during the past five years in the PGA. More impressive than that, it was Tiger’s longest putt since 2001 (!!).

Not a bad way to start your second round, though, maybe next time try for an easier birdie shot, Tiger.
