On Saturday, the day that all teams can begin contact with prospective free agents for the 2014 season, New York Giants wide receiver has assured all teams that he has been medically cleared to return to action after lingering foot and knee injuries that left his play limited. While he could have his choice of where he wants to play, Nicks is willing to come back to the Giants, even on a one-year deal, according to Chris Mortensen.

"Nicks is receptive to returning to the Giants. If he does not re-sign with New York, he is hopeful of finding a team with a proven quarterback. He is willing to weigh a one-year contract to prove his past two seasons were aberrations, league sources said."

With the injuries playing the biggest part, Nicks hasn’t been nearly as effective since his rookie season, and the fact that he’s willing to prove that to the Giants by just taking a minimum offer–length wise–says something.

Whether or not the Giants are willing to do that remains to be seen.
