Boston Red Sox owner John Henry rips the Miami Marlins on twitter

Earlier this week, there was some Major League spring training controversy stirred up when the Miami Marlins were unhappy with the lackluster lineup the World Champion Boston Red Sox trotted out for their Grapefruit League meeting. Immediately, Red Sox GM Ben Cherington issued an apology. However, on Saturday, team owner John Henry was not nearly as nice, as he took a hard shot at the lowly Marlins.

That shot was swift, yet it was pretty effective because if you ask some people, they would say that it’s 100% true. In the 2012 season, the lineup was so terrible after being stripped down once again by management that the team was nearly rendered unwatchable.

So, when you look at it, you can’t really get mad at Henry for stating the obvious, even though many will surely point out that he shouldn’t have done it on such a public platform.
