Florida Gators finish SEC season 18-0 with 84-65 drubbing of Kentucky Wildcats

The top-ranked Florida Gators were able to take care of one final piece of business on Saturday as they finished the SEC regular season at 18-0 with an 84-65 drubbing of the Kentucky Wildcats before conference tournament play begins, and also picked up their 32nd straight win at home.

On Senior Day in Gainesville, the Gators jumped out early and never looked back, taking a commanding 49-28 lead into the locker room, showing that they weren’t going to let this one get away.

While some have seen this number one ranked Gators team as underrated at some points, they proved today that they’re the unquestioned best team in the country as the NCAA Tournament approaches.

As for Kentucky, this was yet another bad sign for a team that’s already reeling as the postseason begins with last weekend’s loss to South Carolina still looming over their heads.
