In its first season of existence, the American Athletic Conference certainly did not disappoint this season on the hardwood, and the upcoming conference tournament should be no different as the field has now been set with the regular season finished.

On Saturday, though, after the games were finished, there was a coin toss between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Louisville Cardinals to see who would get top billing in the tournament.

In the end, it was the Bearcats who won the toss and will go into the tournament with the top-seed.

While it might not be as exciting as the old Big East Tournaments that we all knew and loved, there’s a field here that can definitely bring the excitement.

Things in this one will get kicked off on Mar. 12 and will carry on through the 15th.

As you look at this bracket, this can be anyone’s for the taking as it stands right now. Can Larry Brown and SMU take it? The defending national champion Louisville Cardinals?

Louisville is playing the best basketball right now!! Them getting the 2 seed is better then the one cause u got cinci, uconn and mem all in the bottom! I saying it will be Louisville and mem in the championship game and Louisville will finish this one off this time, they gave mem both game away late in the game vs mem! But mem is playing at home so it could go both ways!! GO CARDS #L1C4!

I live in Memphis, and have been a Tigers fan since I was a kid. But I don’t think there is any way that the Tigers make it to the championship game. They are 12-6 in conference play, and the two teams that swept them and accounted for 4 of those losses this season (Cincy, UConn) are on the same side of the bracket. As much as I hate to say it, even playing at home, beating those two consecutively probably won’t happen. My guess is that Cincinatti will play Louisville in the championship game, with SMU as the dark, but unlikely, horse.

If cincy plays there game the way they should i think they’ll win a good one against UCONN if they don’t play like they do sometimes and let them get up and have to make a comeback. I think they’ll play the winner between a close one of UL and SMU and will face UL I’m the finals and it will be a nerve wrack until the end like most C,UL games are
