Just when you thought the Los Angeles Lakers season couldn’t get more embarrassing, here comes Ty Lawson.
The Denver Nuggets point guard helped his team put a thrashing on the Lakers Friday night, defeating Los Angeles by a score of 134-126.
Lawson put up 30 points and 17 assists in the tilt – but shockingly, the impressive box score wasn’t even the highlight of his night. No, that came courtesy or Lakers guard Jodie Meeks who was absolutely destroyed by a Lawson crossover.
As Lawson danced towards half-court, Meeks decided he’d (for whatever reason) go out that far and guard him.
It proved to be a poor decision as Lawson went quickly to his left before shuffling back to his right. Meeks initially went left with Lawson as well, but that’s as far as his legs would take him as the former Kentucky Wildcat’s ankles gave out, sending him crashing to the floor as the Denver-based crowd went nuts.
Lawson then streaked into the paint, dishing it off to Timofey Mozgov for one of his many assists on the night.
