Adam Jones to leave Orioles' camp for child's birth

Players can leave training camp for any number of reasons, but the birth of your first child seems to be a highly appropriate one.

In a media session on Sunday morning, general manager Dan Duquette announced that center fielder Adam Jones would be leaving Spring Training on Tuesday to be with his wife as she gives birth to the couples’ first child. Orioles’ reporter Britt Ghiroli says that Jones’ wife will induce labor on Wednesday.

It was not announced when the 28-year old Gold Glove centerfielder will be back in camp, but it will probably be at the beginning of next week.

We here at FanSided would like to congratulate Adam and his wife on this joyous occasion!
