Dolphins free agency rumors: Miami showing interest in Jairus Byrd

Jairus Byrd is finally going to get his wish and find himself a home away from the Buffalo Bills. Early on in the negotiating period around the league, Byrd has been receiving plenty of interest and a new team threw their hat into the ring on Saturday night.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Miami Dolphins are among the teams who are “expressing real interest” in Byrd.

As Rapoport notes, it appears that the Dolphins are once again gearing up for another big run and impressive splash in free agency. While they may have overpaid for number of free agents last offseason, they could be heading in the right direction and getting value in 2014 if they add Byrd and offensive tackle Branden Albert.
