Dusan Ristic commits to Arizona Wildcats

The Arizona Wildcats added some size to their program on Sunday when they received a commitment from center Dusan Ristic.

The 7’0, 240-pounder has been expected to commit to the Wildcats for some time and he finally made it official.

Brad Ellis of 24/7 Sports has the scoop.

Ristic committed to Arizona prior to Sunrise Christian’s game against Prime Prep on Saturday and was announced by the team’s twitter feed.

The seven-footer enrolled in the Wichita, KS school in January and is looking for a situation where he can play in the NBA without having to sign a long term European contract.

He will either help bolster an extremely deep frontcourt, or be a huge blessing in case Kaleb Tarczewski decides to turn pro.

Ristic took an official visit to Arionza last weekend.

Ristic is considered the 21st ranked center prospect, the third best overall prospect in the state of Kansas and the 215th best overall prospect in the class of 2014, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite ratings.

Ristic chose the Wildcats over an offer from the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
