Jets interested in 49ers S Donte Whitner

San Francisco 49ers safety Donte Whitner is drawing some interest in the free agent market, he is arguably one of the best available behind maybe only Jairus Byrd of the Buffalo Bills and TJ Ward of the Cleveland Browns.

It’d be an interesting fit, Whitner joining a defensive minded Rex Ryan. His hitting prowess might be an improvement and give the Jets defense an edge in the AFC East.
