The Philadelphia 76ers have nothing to play for this season as they currently ride a 16-game losing streak (which seems almost impossible).
But there is a potential silver lining in the mounting losses – the NBA debut of Nerlens Noel.
The 6th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft was hopeful that he would get the opportunity to play this season and posted a cryptic date on his Twitter account this morning, potentially signaling the date he’d play his first game in the NBA.
The Sixers take on the Boston Celtics (in Boston) on the 4th, so the date jives with Noel’s tweet.
If he is to debut on that day, it would give the former Kentucky Wildcat seven possible games of action to finish out the 2013-14 season, though only two of them would be in Philadelphia.
Noel, recovering from knee surgery, has recently began working out with the team and has partaken in one-on-one practice scenarios in recent days.
Hopefully there are no setbacks and Noel will make his Philadelphia 76ers and NBA debut in less than a month.
