Free agent cornerback Alterraun Verner is coming off of a Pro Bowl season and receiving plenty of interest as the NFL negotiation period begins leading up to the official start of free agency on Tuesday.

Verner has already drawn interest from the New York Jets, St. Louis Rams, New York Giants, Washington Redskins, and Minnesota Vikings, but now there are two new teams in the mix.

According to Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions are the latest to show interest in the top free agent corner.

It has been reported that Verner “isn’t planning any visits” and that he will be signing with a new team shortly after the free agent market opens, so we should see a resolution on his front Tuesday afternoon.
