The Baltimore Ravens have been bleeding defensive players over the last few years and that seems to be the benefit of other teams in the NFL — at least on the surface. While Ed Reed and others haven’t flourished outside of Baltimore, there’s always a desire to grab free agents that leak out of the defensive factory in Baltimore.
Jameel McClain is the latest player to hit the market out of Baltimore and he’s drawing major interest from two teams. According to CSNBaltimore, the Minnesota Vikings and Indianapolis Colts appear to be heavy suitors for McClain.
McClain has already visited the Bills and Giants, and according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan, McClain is scheduled to visit the Vikings on Monday. Don’t be surprised if he pays a visit his former defensive coordinator, Chuck Pagano, in Indianapolis as well.
The Vikings need linebacker help and adding McClain might help them with their draft choice in May. Indianapolis is always looking for veteran help and the decision for either team to be interested really has a lot to do with how expensive McClain will be.
