Hakeem Nicks is one of the wild card free agent receivers not he market as we all know he’s going to get paid but the question lies in whether or not he’ll live up to whatever contract he’s given this offseason. While there are teams that covet tall, deep threat targets like Nicks, the soon-to-be former New York Giants star has a few teams he prefers to sign with over the other.

According to an interview he did with ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Nicks prefers to sign with Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts or San Diego Chargers based on the quarterbacks they have at the moment.

Per Josina Anderson:

“Ideally this is what I want: I want to go to a team where I’m the missing link. There are a number of teams that I have my eye on once I hit the market. I know if I went to a place like Indianapolis I would be dangerous with a quarterback like Andrew Luck. I can see myself catching passes from Cam Newton or even Philip Rivers. Players have already started to reach out to me from other teams saying they would love for me to come join them. I just want to make it clear that I want a long-term deal and I want to be happy. I’m excited about talking to teams and making it work.”

Nicks had an elite quarterback in Eli Manning, so he’s clearly looking to spoil himself again with another. Nicks has ties to Carolina thanks to his days at North Carolina, but the power of Andrew Luck and Philip Rivers is clearly appareling to Nicks as he enters the open market.

Allen and Nicks (long term contract makes me nervous) And Green would spell trouble for secondaries…

When Nicks will be able to get on the field…..

True… Has he played 16 yet in any year? I don’t think so

With all the talent at Wr in the draft I don’t know why we would put a lot on money on him. I rather sign a Vet TD maker in James Jones unlike Nicks who has hard time getting in the end zone

“Nicks had an elite quarterback in Eli Manning”

    Hahahahahaha

I wouldn’t mind seeing Nicks in Bolts, as long as he’s not asking for a ton of money.

I am torn on this. I feel like he can still play football at a high level. However, I feel like the desire is lacking. He would have to take a prove it deal.

  • Aaron Johnson

If he came here he would be with a better QB, that much is true. I wouldnt mind Nicks but I am wondering what type of money he thinks he is worth.

I would like Nicks on the Chargers. But he would have to sign a one year deal first, and if he preformed well enough he could get a long term deal.
