It’s never too early to start thinking about the hidden gems of the Fantasy Football world in 2014. Last season, we saw Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas take the world by storm. Thomas was most likely a free agent addition after the first week or two in most leagues, unless there was a Bronco fan in your midst.
This year, the stars may be aligning for New Orleans Saints wide receiver Kenny Stills when it comes to putting up some monster fantasy numbers from a relative unknown. He may not be as much as a surprise as Thomas, but Rant Sports thinks big things may be coming Stills’ way.
The Saints are reportedly willing to trade (Darren) Sproles and (Pierre) Thomas, with Mark Ingram and Khiry Robinson taking over as the team’s top two running backs. If both are dealt that would open up opportunities in the passing game for others … Stills made the most of his chances last season and he is line to at least compete for a starting role heading toward next season.
Stills had 32 receptions for 641 yards last season, which is a shade over 20 yards per catch. He also had five touchdowns, about one in every six catches.
Stills may not be a big PPR guy next season, but for those of you swinging for the fences, he may prove to be a gem in the later rounds.
