Former Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack is considered one of the top defensive prospects in the 2014 NFL Draft class. While Mack became a star with the Bulls, he is still relatively new to the game of football compared to those who have been playing their entire life.
Gil Brandt of NFL.com passed along the tidbit that Mack did not play football until his senior year of high school.
Talked to Khalil Mack over weekend. Told me he didn’t play ftball until sr year in HS. Played hoops as soph/jr.

It is impressive to see how much Mack has grown in just a few years and it goes to show that he still has plenty of untapped potential.
If Mack goes to the right system, he has the talent to blossom in to one of the most dynamic pass rushers in the entire league.
