As teams around the NFL anxiously wait for the free agency period to kick off on Tuesday afternoon, the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks are working hard to re-sign their own pending free agents and keep them from hitting the open market.
While tight end Anthony McCoy is not as big of a name as defensive end Michael Bennett who re-signed with the team earlier on Monday afternoon, he has agreed on terms to a new deal that will keep him suited up in Seattle.
The news comes from Rand Getlin of Yahoo! Sports.
McCoy spent all of last season on the injured reserve list after suffering a torn Achilles in May during a 7-on-7 drill.
