Deliver Us From Evil: Lots of New Footage in Eerie International Trailer (Video)

Just three days ago we showed you a new trailer for the upcoming scare-fest Deliver Us From Evil. While the trailer was incredibly creepy, there wasn’t a lot of information about the film to go on. It would seem that the good people at Screen Gems decided to take it up a notch when they released the international trailer for the film, as there is a lot of new footage that takes the eerie factor up quite a few notches.
When the trailer opens, we see New York Police Department Detective Ralph Sarchie, who is played in the film by Eric Bana, and Edgar Ramirez, who plays an unconventional priest who helps Sarchie navigate his way through the supernatural. The two of them are preparing to perform an exorcism on a suspect.
There is an overwhelming sense that Sarchie has not done this before, as the priest is informing him of the various stages of exorcism and instructing him not to look at or speak to the possessed individual.
It would appear that once the flood gates were opened, things that can no longer be explained by human nature begin to happen all around Sarchie and his family. It would seem as if dead bodies are literally coming out of the sky.
Here is a look at the newest international trailer for the upcoming horror thrill ride Deliver Us From Evil.
The film is based on a book by the name of “Beware the Night,” a book written by the real life Ralph Sarchie and author Lisa Collier Cool which details some of the real-life cases he investigated during his sixteen years on the NYPD.
It is no wonder that the film has been able to deliver thus far in terms of creep-factor. Deliver Us From Evil is being directed by Scott Derrickson, the man also responsible for horror flicks such as Sinister and The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
In addition to Bana and Ramirez, the film also stars Olivia Munn, Sean Harris, Joel McHale, Antoinette LaVecchia, and many more.
Deliver Us From Evil is scheduled to be released on July 2, 2014.
